Kiersten Kasey has been elected to serve as an Illinois State FFA Officer for 2009-2010.  Kiersten graduated from high school during the past month and will put her college plans on hold for a year as she serves the Illinois Association FFA as Secretary and as a representative of more than 17,000 Illinois FFA members. Each officer is expected to travel more than 25,000 miles during the year as they visit FFA chapters around the state, conduct workshops and meetings for FFA members, represent the FFA at meetings and conferences, and promote agricultural education. They will also have the opportunity to travel to Washington D.C. in July and overseas in January on the International Leadership Seminar for State Officers.  Kiersten is the daughter of Nels and Autumn Kasey and Will and Ann Robinson.
