Is my personal information safe if I use online banking?
Yes, the Edgar County Bank and Trust Co. website is a secure website that requires a username and password at the time of log on. If you are using a public computer it will ask you a series of 2 multifactor questions along with your user code and password for added security.
What do I do if I suspect my online account has been compromised?

How do I report a lost credit/debit card?
To report a lost or stolen debit card, please call 1-800-383-8000. It is important that you call this number as soon as possible so that you are not held accountable for any charges made on your account after the loss of your card.
What if I lose my debit card and someone makes charges to my account?
Immediately report those transactions that you believe to be unauthorized. A report must be filed within 60 days of the incident and you will be required to complete an affadavit of unauthorized debit activity. Once your situation has been declared fraudulent the money will be refunded.

How can I still set up an account without giving out my personal information?
The Edgar County Bank & Trust Co. is required to obtain a valid photo identification (state driver's license, state ID card, passport, military ID), date of birth, current physical address and social security number to open any account. Your personal information will not be shared with any other party not facilitated with the Edgar County Bank & Trust Co.
